Paolo Loffredo, sixth generation of a large family of publishers and booksellers engaged in the production and distribution of books since the late nineteenth century, creates in 2012 the new editorial company Paolo Loffredo Editore. The historical site was until the '80s in the heart of the historic centre of Naples in Via San Biagio dei Librai, lower Decumano and also known as the SpaccaNapoli.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, Giuseppe Loffredo decided to add book selling to the book production, which definitively imposed itself after World War II with the publication of manuals for the University and for the School that succeeded in establishing themselves soon throughout Italy.

Entering into a church as an observer means finding, looking for, asking oneself, confront with news and tales told by every single object.
These tales lead to the necessity of selecting the furniture in order to analyse them better and show publicly the most significant results.
Examining all of the artifacts in Santa Domenica Talao, would have been fascinating and would have led to better results, but the studies had to be reducted to a smaller field...

Authors

Antonello Lucchessi lives and works as a freelance in Santa Domenica Talao (CS). He got a degree in architecture at University of studies of Firenze, in the History and restoration of architectural structures Department, writing a thesis about “The architecture of San Marco Argentano-Scalea diocese after the Trento council”. He mostly focused on the architecture of the church of Forania di Scalea and of the monumental complex of San Giuseppe in Santa Domenica Talao. Together with other specialists, he drew up the building restoration project within 1995 and 2005. 
He is currently focused on local history, uses and customs of Santa Domenica Talao. He is the cowriter of “Santa Domenica da feudo degli Spinelli a terra di briganti”. For the Loffredo publishing house he also wrote:

Tina Mansueto has worked with the archeological superintendence of Naples, Caserta and Pompei. She was a Latin literature espert at University Suor Orsola Benincasa in Naples. For the University of Naples Federico II she published ‘Itinerari giubilari del 2000’ (Sant’Agata dei Goti e Sant’Anastasia). Moreover, she cooperates with the Pro Loco of Scalea and di Santa Domenica Talao (CS). She teaches History and Philosophy at high school and wrote many scientific articles, such as: 
- Osservazioni sull’Iconografia delle Nereidi, Latinam linguam profiteri, L’Artemide Bovianense, Culti e miti dei Safineis, De utilitate philosophiae. Ha curato per la Regione Campania ‘Casali e Chiese’ (2006).
