Paolo Loffredo, sixth generation of a large family of publishers and booksellers engaged in the production and distribution of books since the late nineteenth century, creates in 2012 the new editorial company Paolo Loffredo Editore. The historical site was until the '80s in the heart of the historic centre of Naples in Via San Biagio dei Librai, lower Decumano and also known as the SpaccaNapoli.

Paesaggi/Passaggi

LANDSCAPES are the forest, the lake, the sky, the panorama that opens from a window, from a terrace: landscapes of fields, waters, cities, seen from an eye that contemplates them as if they were distant in time, separated from years of an existence. The descriptions of the poems collected in the first part of the volume are those of a flaneur who prefers to move away from his neighbor, question him with some rhetorical questions that never await any answer. The PASSAGES of the second part, the grotesque and asemantic experiments, follow the same path that leads to solitude, with a playful tone but equally and ironically detached: seeing and describing, even in the ekphrasis exercises, in this case means entering into contradiction with the communicative language.

Author

Sergio Landran Piedilupi lived in the Netherlands for long. He descended from an ancient Mantuan family that gave prestige to Reinassance literature. He worked as an engineer in Indian Punjab, cultivating his passion for mountaineering at the foot of the Himalayas. Ho loved books, pictures, cats and the dawn. This, which comes out posthumously, is his first and last work.
