Author

Amedeo Caramanica was born in Mondragone (CE) on december 6th 1936, but he has been living in Naples for many years. He was a literature professor for 40 years and is now on retirement. He neer lost his contacts with the school and published for 30 years with Loffredo publishing house narrative books, such as “Giovani protagonisti" “Prospettive future”, “Fantastica Avventura” (Edizione Medusa). He also published four history courses for middle school students with his wife, Emilia Bartolomeo. These were: “I passi dell’uomo”, “Il nuovo I passi dell’uomo”, “L’umana avventura” and “I percorsi della Storia”.
Beside school, he was involved for 50 years in theaters. After having attended a private recitation class in the late ‘50s, which made his passion stronger, and taught him that art does not always pay, he started to cultivate his passion after getting his degree. He soon realized that theatre can be useful for his students, especially for the disadvantaged ones. He made it one of his working instruments in schools and out of schools, being a theatrical techniques teacher, a director and the writer of nearly fifty comedies.
