Elementi di Patologia Comparata dei Molluschi

This volume was born with the intent of filling, even if only partially, a gap which, as we know, is evident in the context of the national scientific bibliography: the lack of reference texts updated, in Italian, of pathology of the aquatic organisms. Among these, molluscs are model organisms that are increasingly considered as compared to others, both for their bio-medical and ecological importance and for socio-economic importance. The structure of the book foresees a first part of general comparative pathology (vertebrates - invertebrates - molluscs) and a second part of special pathology that includes a brief description of the main bacterial, viral, parasitic and fungal diseases of molluscs. The text is directed not only to graduate students in Biological and Veterinary disciplines, but also to professionals (Biologists, Doctors, Veterinarians) who work in the fields of Research, Public Health, Aquaculture, and Ecology.
