Paolo Loffredo, sixth generation of a large family of publishers and booksellers engaged in the production and distribution of books since the late nineteenth century, creates in 2012 the new editorial company Paolo Loffredo Editore. Prima della migrazione
Esperienze di vita, di studio e di mobilità degli studenti delle università di Salerno e dell’Estremadura

Nowadays migrations from Southern Europe are considered as an example of qualified migration, or better as “brain drain”. It has been largely said that migrations coming from Spain or Italy are way different from the previous ones. Women emancipation, higher schooling, market transformations, the creation of the European Union and its supranational institutional space created a new shape in migrations, which is more articulate and rich of sparks for research studies.
In this context, we tried to understand the new situation, the problems and perspectives of the future individual migratory paths, regarding students of human sciences, economics, law in two different Universities - Salerno and Càseres - located in Campania and Estremadura, always considered late in developing and high disoccupation.
The volume contains the results of the e-survey we conducted on the students of the two Universities just before the pandemic from Covid-19 exploded. In our view, the results of the survey could lead to a better comprehension of the economical, social and cultural factors which cause the migration paths, both internal and international, and of the choice to stay and invest one’s abilities in their native society.
