Paolo Loffredo, sixth generation of a large family of publishers and booksellers engaged in the production and distribution of books since the late nineteenth century, creates in 2012 the new editorial company Paolo Loffredo Editore. The historical site was until the '80s in the heart of the historic centre of Naples in Via San Biagio dei Librai, lower Decumano and also known as the SpaccaNapoli.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, Giuseppe Loffredo decided to add book selling to the book production, which definitively imposed itself after World War II with the publication of manuals for the University and for the School that succeeded in establishing themselves soon throughout Italy.

Sugli studi di Giovanni Casertano
This volume collects the proceedings of a one-day seminar dedicated to the studies of Giovanni Casertano, professor of the History of Ancient Philosophy at the University of Naples "Federico II" from 1980 to 2009. Author of the introduction and afterword—which also contains a list of the great Neapolitan scholar's publications—his student Lidia Palumbo edited this publication, which also features contributions by Bruno Centrone, Gabriele Cornelli, Franco Ferrari, Silvio Marino, Miriam Campolina Peixoto, Stefano Pone, and Franco Trabattoni. The seven essays are a tribute to an extraordinary master whose teaching, both at the University of Naples and in the international scholarly community, was tireless in the teaching of critical method, training generations of students in the practice of dialogue, in accordance with the great philosophical lesson of the Socratic-Platonic tradition.
